Molecular Testing Innovations

The molecular testing and research team within Gribbles Veterinary Pathology is an expanding area of our service delivery. We currently offer an extensive range of molecular tests and we continue to expand our range through our purpose-built, state-of-the-art service and molecular research laboratories, which not only provide the highest standard of testing but with our team of dedicated molecular development scientists can ensure the continuous expansion of our range of high-quality tests.

Our current range of in-house molecular tests includes:

  • Multi-drug resistance in dogs (MDR1 gene test)

  • Bovine Herpesvirus (IBR)
  • Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD/Pestivirus)
  • Campylobacter foetus subsp. venerealis (call our Molecular Department to discuss the Campylobacter foetus subsp. venerealis test before ordering)
  • Johnes disease (confirmatory)
  • Tritrichomonas foetus

  • Avian gender testing
  • Our Avian suite of infectious disease tests

  • Leptospirosis

Tests under development

Gribbles Veterinary Pathology recognises veterinary molecular diagnostic testing as increasingly important for the rapid and highly specific diagnosis of diseases in animals. We are committed to continuously expand our testing portfolio. We look forward to providing updates in the coming months on our new range of molecular tests which are in the final stages of development.
